Between Breaths - Poem By John Mark Green

Each breath is a gift. The years pass far too quickly. The time to live is now.

You can find this poem and more in my book Taste the Wild Wonder.

Cosmic Lottery - Poem By John Mark Green

I think that time travel and multiverse stories are so fascinating. How would our lives have changed is we had made different choices along the way?

And If the Stars Should Ever Die

This line is from a poem in the book The Light You Need II: Romantic Love Poetry.

I also wrote a short story inspired by it, titled "If the Stars Should Ever Die," which can be found in my book of short fiction, She Had a Very Inconvenient Heart. In the story, lovers face the end of the world together when a mysterious force begins killing the stars and devouring all light in the universe.

You Are Not the Darkness You Endured

What you went through does not define you.
The light inside of you is stronger than the darkness you endured.
You are a victor, not a victim. Keep letting that light shine.

Romantic Love Poem by John Mark Green

The way our fingers intertwine feels so natural and right . . .

This little romantic love poem can be found in The Light You Need II: Romantic Love Poetry, which I co-authored with my wife, Christy Ann Martine.

Welcome to my author blog, where you can find out more about my poetry, fiction, and upcoming books releases.

"Go Stand Small Beneath the Stars" is from my very first book of poetry, called Taste the Wild Wonder.

This collection of poems was published in 2018, and in 2020, it was selected as a Book of the Week by Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper.

If you enjoy poems that explore our place in the universe through the lens of awe, mixed with a bit of whimsy and a touch of melancholy, you'll want to check this book out.
